The Norsemen
Eugene, OR
|
The Norsemen sing out at numerous locations throughout the year. We charter a bus for one of the Christmas concerts and for Sangerfest. This is a great way to see the community -- both Scandinavian and the general community at large.
In fall 2007, we did a dual concert with a large chorus here in the area, which turned out to be a great success and lots of fun.
We will be hosting Sangerfest 2009, which was held at the Eugene Hilton.

Rehearsals
We have a great
time at rehearsals. Ed does a fantastic job of explaining the Norwegian and the musical
arrangements.
We prepare extra songs that are not on the Sangerfest program and learn them all. Some of the music is for Christmas, and some is general. Most of the music is Norwegian.
Rehearsals are on Monday evenings, from 7:30 to 9:00 pm, beginning the week after Labor Day in September and ending in June, generally the week before Sangerfest.
Location: |
Sons of Norway Lodge |
Anyone is welcome to sit in on rehearsals -- we often have visitors.
