Norwegian Male
Chorus of Seattle
Seattle, WA

The
Norwegian Male Chorus of Seattle was founded in 1889 -- the year
of Washington's statehood -- and is the oldest continuously
operating choral organization in Seattle.
In
addition to the annual Sangerfest, our
performance schedule includes Sons of Norway Leif Erikson Lodge
functions, Yulefest and Tivoli Viking Days events at the Nordic
Heritage Museum and the Sytende Mai Parade.
On Sunday,
April 18, the chorus is presenting its Spring Concert at Leif
Erikson Hall Sons of Norway, singing some old favorites as well
as some new material."
Also for the past two seasons we have joined
with a barbershop harmony chorus, “The Seattle SeaChordsmen” in presenting “A Ballard Christmas.”
Rehearsals
Rehearsals take
place every Monday evening at 7:00 at the Nordic Heritage
Museum, at 3014 NW 67th Street, except for the last
Monday of the month. That rehearsal is located at the Norse Home
5311 Phinney Ave N.
